Gild is a fintech venture in development currently. Several TVC scripts were developed for it in January and February 2022. I got an opportunity to create storyboards for them. The following feature entrepreneur Kunal Shah.
1. Kunal Shah and the chef aunty
We show KS seated in a flight along with a middle aged aunty who’s a chef. She is super excited that her recipe to make sambar has come in a leading magazine and keeps bragging about it to Kunal.
She gets too disturbing and she starts asking him questions about Sambar!
Kunal gets super uncomfortable and tries to shut her up, "Mam! Am I asking you anything about finance? Why are you bugging me with your sambar?!"
She instantly replies, "I know about finance too! For example, take spendingYou should spend one way and earn 2 ways. Your rewards should be as real as gold! Most importantly you should spend from your spends account and not from your savings!"
Cut to the product window - Gild India’s first spend account. Everybody gets it!"
Comeback shot: Cut to flight. Aunty says, "Now you tell me about Sambhar!"
2. Screen test
We open on KS against a clean white background with the Gild logo.

KS (stutters): Hi, I'm here to tell you a secret about how you can spend and earn at the same
time. *stutters*
Director (off-screen): Cut! Sir, one more.
KS: Hi, Here's a secret that will make your monthly expenses earn for you. *stutters*
Director (off-screen): Sir what happened? So many takes!
KS: Come here and say it. Only then you’ll know.
Assistant Director says, ya that’s easy and he says the dialogue.
(He looks surprised)
DOP says, ya that’s easy and says it.
(He looks surprised even more)
Cut to a light boy who says it to his fellow worker
(He looks amused)
KS: Everyone gets it!

3. Kunal Shah and the layman (Don’t go broke)
Kunal Shah is on a flight. His co-passenger, a middle aged man says "Boss! You are the boss of all this finance and fintech but can you help this layman with a layman problem?"
KS: Yes go ahead.
Man: How do I not get broke at the end of every month?
KS: Do you have a bank account?
Man: Yes.
KS: What account is it?
Man: Savings?
KS: You do your monthly spends right? How do you pay for that?
Man: From my savings account only!
KS: If it’s called a savings account, why would you spend from it?
Man: Gets a light bulb moment!! And it is like baapre!! What do I do then??
